Every new sign-in to the application needs a connection; the Pro allowance covers existing sessions only. The licence heartbeat carries allowlisted feature counters, each user's monthly usage totals (the counts your plan limits), product version and platform, never model content, project names or file paths. AI assistance uses your configured provider and may incur separate provider costs.

D3rive runs as a local application on your workstation. The installer sets up everything it needs, including its own database.
